8/6/09 SOMBRANCE WELCOMES NEW DRUMMER AND BASS PLAYER! Sombrance is excited to welcome new drummer Kevin Reese. Kevin is an avid music fan and is fitting in very well with the Sombrance vibe. We also neglected to introduce our new bass player, Thomas Kinder. Thomas is also a huge music fan and a childhood friend of Rick Mester. "I am really excited about the chemistry and friendships that are already developing within Sombrance. Playing music is a great pleasure, but it's much better when it's with friends!" - Rick Mester Kevin and Thomas also play for fellow St. Louis band Floodwater. Look for Sombrance live shows this Fall as they try out new material for the upcoming "Through Waterless Places" record.

Sombrance's "Eli", Ishur Ninku's "Contemplation: A Collection", and Rick Mester's solo CD "Wallpaper Sky" are now all available at CDBABY.com. 12/01/2006 New CDs From Rick Mester and Rob Williams Rick Mester has been working on a pop solo CD for a while now and it is finally available! Rob Williams is finishing up work on his solo CD as well. When it is available, you will hear about it here first! We promise to knock out those last few Sombrance songs now!
11/30/2006 New CD Update "Through Waterless Places" is running late! Due to Rick's recent wrist surgery and his inability to play guitar, the recording has taken a lot longer than anticipated. Half of the disk is done and in the hands of Jimmy with the other half still needing to be tracked. We are very excited about the new songs and hope you will think they were worth the wait!! You can preview new tracks at our myspace site (currently Crow on a Cross is up and available). The Christmas CD will happen next year as it is also only half finished. however, the owner, Carl Crandell, passed away unexpectedly.

Carl had a great love and passion for music, thus why he created PsychoAcoustiX Records. He believed in the power of music and was convinced that it could change the world. He was not only the owner of a label, but a good friend to all of his artists. He will be missed by all who knew him and treasured his friendship. 11/11/05 Sombrance Signs With
PsychoAcoustiX Records! Sombrance and PsychoAcoustiX Records have agreed on a multi-record deal that will deliver brand new Sombrance tunes to the world! The new record, to be entitled "Through Waterless Places", is set to be released in Spring of 2006. Jimmy P Brown II will Produce and Engineer the project.
